The Krotz Springs Project
St. Landry Parish, Louisiana
Daybreak participated with a 12.5% working interest in the drilling of the KSU # 59 well in the Krotz Springs Field in Louisiana, in the spring of 2007. The well was brought into production in May, 2007. Our NRI (net revenue interest) is 9.125%. Production is primarily gas from the Second Cockfield Sand reservoir.
Well logs indicated a second potential productive zone up hole from the current producing zone. Daybreak and its partners intend to test this potential second productive zone that will be investigated in the future.
Gulf Oil discovered Krotz Springs Field in 1942, with the drilling of the Haas-Hirsch #E-l well.
