The North Shuteston Project
St. Landry Parish, Louisiana
The North Shuteston Prospect will entail drilling a 2500' well to test a 3-D seismic amplitude anomaly, located at a depth of 2300'. The stratigraphic analogy for this seismic anomaly is located in an already produced Shuteston Field well. Within this well a Miocene Age Sand has produced 67,000 Mcf of gas from 1967 - 1969. The production in this well is associated with the down dip edge of a similar 3-D seismic amplitude anomaly, which is seismically of slightly less amplitude strength but of the same polarity and phase convention as that demonstrated over the prospect area.
In May of 2008 Daybreak farmed out its interest in the North Shuteston project to Block T Petroleum of Houston Texas. Daybreak will retain a 2% gross over-riding royalty on any production from the well. The well is permitted and will be drilled in July subject to rig availability. Block T paid all of this years lease rentals and other costs. Daybreak no longer has a cost interest in this project.
